The Emblem of Unity
Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt — February 27–28, 2022.
The Red Sea shimmered under the morning sun as voices from across the Arab world gathered in one place. Inside the halls of the International Conference on International Solidarity and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, delegates spoke of a shared mission: Goal 16 — Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
When the Arab Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ANNHRI) invited us to create the official conference logo, we knew this was more than a design commission — it was a chance to craft a lasting symbol for unity, justice, and cooperation.
Our challenge was to design a visual identity strong enough to stand alongside world leaders yet refined enough to embody the values of human dignity and peace. This emblem would appear across every touchpoint — from podiums and banners to publications, digital campaigns, and international media coverage.

We began with sketches and concepts inspired by three pillars:
Unity — many nations, one shared vision.
Justice — fairness and equality as the foundation of peace.
Culture — incorporating Arab artistic heritage through balanced geometry and symbolism.
Each design decision was deliberate. The color palette — blue for peace and trust, gold for dignity and achievement, and white for transparency and hope — was chosen to communicate meaning before a single word was read. Every line and curve represented connection, balance, and forward movement.
The final ANNHRI conference logo was timeless, dignified, and versatile, adaptable for both print and digital formats. It became a unifying visual thread throughout the Sharm El Sheikh conference, carrying the spirit of international solidarity into every speech, panel, and handshake.
Though created for the 2022 event, this visual identity continues to represent the commitment of the Arab Network of National Human Rights Institutions to peace, justice, and strong institutions across the region.
This project is a testament to how strategic conference branding can elevate an event’s message — transforming design into a bridge between ideals and action.
